Betz-Chrom's corporate culture was shaped from the very start by the founder of the company, Ilsebill Adolf-Betz. Since that time, right up to the present, the company has endeavoured to harmonise the company's economic goals, employee satisfaction, customer focus and active environmental conservation. We therefore attach great importance to a systematic and successful environmental management system in compliance with DIN EN ISO 14001.

To meet its responsibility towards the environment, the economy and society, it is necessary for Betz-Chrom to act in a forward-looking manner to remain a professional surface technology partner into the future.

Our environmental management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 14001:2005. We use only lead-free and cadmium-free electrolyte solutions. We are members of the Bavarian Environmental Pact, the aim of which is to protect our natural resources even better with the help of a voluntary and reliable cooperation between the state and the business community. Protecting against wear and corrosion using surface technology extends the service life of new and used parts and components, minimising the frequent replacement of spare parts, producing less waste and thereby caring for environmental resources. Betz-Chrom has been producing at both sites using coal-free and nuclear-free power supplied by the Greenpeace Energy power company since 1st January 2008. By using alternative power, Betz-Chrom saves over 1 million kg CO2 every year and our planet is also spared around 1.4 kg of radioactive waste per year for the next 10,000 years!
